11 races in ten days, over one hundred ground events, an important cultural event in collaboration with the theaters and museums of Trieste, the development of FuoriRegata, a new "container" dedicated to the promotion of all sea sports: the Barcolana of Trieste , in 2015, grows exponentially. The 2015 edition doubles, strengthening the calendar of the first weekend of October, expanding the spaces of the Barcolana Village towards the Old Port, creating a strong link with the other sea sports and sowing the seed of a cultural container that aims to grow in the next editions.

This year Barcolana begins on Friday 2 October, with the unveiling of an unprecedented exhibition itinerary and the opening concert by maestro Remo Anzovino, considered by critics and public to be one of the most important and innovative musicians on the national scene, to be held on board Ursus, thanks also to the collaboration of the Coast Guard Auxiliary, and continues until 11 October, the day in which the 47th edition of the Barcolana Autumn Cup international regatta will be held. Approximately two thousand sailboats are expected at the start, for a total of over 20 thousand sailors: after the 16% increase in subscribers in 2014 compared to 2013, the organization has launched significant investments this year to consolidate this result and aim for growth.
