Bavisela 2015 - In Trieste from 1 to 3 May the appointment with the Green Europe Marathon, the Green Europe Halfmarathon and the Bavisela Wind Family is renewed!

The event was attended by 7200 for the Bavisela Family and 2607 participants between the Green Europe Marathon and Halfmarathon.

Given the large number of participants, the Regional Civil Protection provided support to the law enforcement agencies in closing the roads involved in the event and providing logistical support for the event. A total of one hundred and ten volunteers from municipal civil protection groups have provided their services.

 The champion Gelindo Bordin, the first Italian to win the Olympic marathon, will be at the start of the Green Europe Halfmarathon on Sunday 3 May. World bronze in 1978, twice European champion (Stuttgart 1986 and Split 1990), gold at the Olympic Games in Seoul 1988, the athlete has recently celebrated 25 years since the historic victory at the Boston Marathon, where he scored 2h08'19 '', his personal best, best Italian performance at the time and fourth time ever.

BAVISELA YOUNG Meanwhile two thousand children have inaugurated the Bavisela 2015, running in piazza Unità d’Italia with Bavisela Young. From the youngest of kindergartens, to the oldest of the middle schools, everyone participated with great enthusiasm, accompanied by teachers or parents.

And among the curiosities of the 2015 edition also Alessio Del Fabbro, from Trieste, European sleddog champion and will also be the first marathon of his sports career, of course this time without his four-legged friends.
